With a career spanning 20 years and a backlog of releases, Leon Switch has been busy, to say the least. Stemming from a musical background, he specialised in lead guitar and spent most of his teenage years in various bands performing anything from Heavy metal to 60's-70's Rock'n'Roll.

He first started programming music in 1992 and bought his studio setup in 1998, soon to follow was his debut release in 2001 on Unkut Recordings. 2002 saw the birth of Defcom Records along with the partnership of Kryptic Minds, and a massive passion for deep dark DnB. With releases on Metalheadz, Frequency, Freak, Monitor or Penetration, he had recorded and remixed for some of the scene’s true pioneers. 2007 was to see his debut Album Lost all Faith. 2008/9 and a change of tempo and name pushed him into the limelight.

Under the Kryptic Minds moniker, the One of us album was released on Swamp81 and international touring started - reaching places as far as New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong and then out to Moscow, Siberia, Ukraine, but not forgetting nearly all of Europe. The releases continued on Tectonic and Osiris Music UK and Black Box.

In 2013 Hollywood's motion picture Elysium featured Six Degrees at a pinnacle moment in the film, then the Namaste EP got released and the long-awaited Badman VIP hit the shelves. 2014 saw Leon branch out on his own again and immediately sign to the legendary Distance's imprint Chestplate, with his debut tracks Deadlock and Persepolisia, alongside his long-awaited Leon Switch Presents Deep, Dark Dubstep sample pack for Loopmasters.

In 2016 his second release on Chestplate appeared - Intrepid, backed with Overlook, and then he released Leon Switch Sample Series Vol 1.

A year later Leon Switch - Construction Kits was released, and then his album War Trax was written and produced as the soundtrack for R8Games ltd. Fusion Formula, the AG racing game of 2017. In 2018 Leon Switch - Sample series Vol 2 appeared as well as remixes on various labels and he toured across America & Europe. He also started part-time teaching at 808 Music School and joined Education and Bass for online tutorials and live seminars/workshops.

2019 has seen a rise in the educational activity across the UK as well as in Prague, and he started his own record label Kuro Records alongside his collaborative group NōTaN, which includes Kelly Dean (LA) and Christian Engelen aka Kwizma (Netherlands) and their first EP Full Control. May 2019 saw Leon Switch Sample Series Vol 3 hit the shelves. He had several collaborations on the go with many artists and companies, including Eraldo Bernocchi, NōTaN, 808 Music School & Education and Bass.

In 2020 he composed the OST for Distortion VR with 140/ambient production work and released the Box Clever EP feat. Alys Be & Flipz MC on Kuro Records. In 2021 his Gask Mask single appeared on Volume 1 V/A Cassette Compilation (Dungeon Beats).
